Jurassic Kingdom – Edinburgh
Jurassic Kingdom continues its UK & European tour to Lauriston Castle in Edinburgh, opening on the 30th March 2018 and closing on the 15th April 2018. It will be open daily during these dates and makes a fascinating and educational day out for families. Please ensure you arrive within the hourly time slot you have purchased. The event will be open from 10am to 6pm daily with last entry at 5pm.
Please Note: Tickets are non-refundable and non-exchangeable. Children aged 2 and under enter free and do not need a ticket. Child tickets are for ages 3-16. There are no cloakroom facilities at the venue, so visitors will not be able to store bags or large items. Children’s scooters, skates and bicycles are not permitted on site. Only guide dogs are permitted at the event. Thank you.
Venue Address: Lauriston Castle, 2 Cramond Rd S, Edinburgh EH4 6AD
Accessibility: The pathways are a mixture of hard standing, grass and dirt track, and temporary plastic pathway. The event route is mostly accessible to wheelchair users and for pushchairs. Please be aware that some areas may have a few steps and some uneven flooring as we are on a public park site. Our teams onsite are ready to assist any wheelchair users where possible and offer route guidance and advice as we would like all our visitors to enjoy the event and make the most of their visit.
Parking: To retain the peace of the park and the local residents, there is no parking at the event. There will be limited parking for registered disabled visitors made available. Disabled badge holders may park in front of the castle. Please note, we strongly advise using public transport to travel to the event, which is well served by local bus, tram and train services.
Travel by Bike: Lauriston Castle is accessible via the North Edinburgh Cycle Network. Cyclists should follow signs for Davidsons Mains on NCR75 and NCR1 from the City Centre. Where NCR1 crosses Cramond Road South, cyclists turn right and continue along Cramond Road for a short distance to the Castle entrance.
Travel by Bus/Tram: You can take buses to Davidson’s Mains (21 & 41), or Silverknowes Terminus (16, 27, 29 & 37); both are around 10 minutes’ walk from Lauriston Castle.
Travel by Train: The nearest railway station is Edinburgh Haymarket, but Edinburgh Waverley Station in the city centre is more convenient for buses to Lauriston. The 29, 41, and 37 pass along Princes Street near to Waverley Station. A taxi ride takes about 25 minutes.
